Where does the time go? Neon Trees, NYFW, & much more :)

February 10, 2011
A couple of weeks ago I was invited to see one of my favorite bands, Neon Trees, perform at Webster Hall (thank you DJjazzy)! I was so excited to see them again (below you can see my smile while giving Elaine a hug).

This past Sept. Fashion Week, The Neon Trees performed live at my collaborative show with Caravan & Bobi sponsored by Style360 pre-runway show and I listen to their CD religiously, so you can imagine my excitement when I was asked to see them again :) If you did't get a chance to see them perform at my show check it out here.

Elaine was amazing on the drums as well as the other band members. They are so great live and I can't wait to see them perform again!! Check out this video footage I took at the show.

To see how far Neon Trees has come is simply amazing! They have really made a name for themselves and are now selling out concerts and will be on tour in the UK very soon! I am a huge supporter in up and coming artists, whether it be a band, solo artist or entrepreneur. The best part is seeing that person or group grow and reach their goals, it is one of the most rewarding experiences.

So as I'm here with my team
prepping away for my very OWN Fashion Week Runway show sponsored by Style360 here in New York on Feb.15th 2011, I am listening to the Neon Trees CD and can't help but think how FAST time flies. One minute it's November and the leaves are changing colors and the next it's frigid February with Fashion Week just around the corner!I am so excited to announce that Natasha Beddingfield will opening up my runway show this Feb.15th. Natasha is so talented and her new album is amazing. Here is a song that is on repeat in the office as we prep for this show.

I cannot reveal what she is opening with, as I like to leave an element of surpise in everything I do. SO you will have to stay tuned!

This past week has been super busy with NYFW prep. We snapped a bunch of pictures, so check out this collage of all the fun things that have happened and awesome visitors who came to visit!

We gave away a bunch of tickets for our NYFW runway show through a twitter contest, e-mail contest AND an Explore Modeling contest. I wish I could invite you all, BUT don't worry, there will be many ways for everyone to participate at home! Tune in to www.boymeetsgirlusa.com on Feb.15th at 7pm EST to watch the live stream of the show. The Boy Meets Girl(r) Twitter account (@BoyMeetsGirlUSA) will also be tweeting live throughout the show. You can participate in the conversation by using the hashtag: #BMGNYFW.

More to come....

Question: did you go to Latin School of Chicago and/or Tulane University in New Orleans, LA? I'm an alumna of both, and you were featured in one of the above alumni publications because we share one of the same alma maters, but I can't remember which. Can you remind me? Thank you!
