Midnight Inspirations: May Insta Recap

May 30, 2014
As my favorite month comes to a close, I thought it would be fitting to recap the month via Instagram.
Why is May my favorite, you ask?
-It is my Birthday Month (sorry you will never know my age :)))
-I got engaged in May (2005)
-I got married in May (2006)
-I let the world know I was pregnant in May (2014)

I am so grateful for all these moments and feel blessed.

I couldn't fit all of my May moments below, but if you follow me on Instagram you will be able to see it all there. And if you don't, make sure to follow @stacyigel and my brand @boymeetsgirlusa too!

what I wore: Summer Wedding

May 27, 2014
I absolutely love Spring/Summer Weddings. I got married in late May and it makes me feel so happy seeing the flower blossoms and attending other weddings during this time of the year. Below is what I recently wore to my cousins beautiful wedding and what I will be wearing probably all summer long to many more amazing functions and weddings (I love recycling and wearing clothes multiple times so you will see me doing just that)! The fit of this dress is perfect for a growing belly but I also have to say it is great for a non-pregnant lady too. I was stopped many times at this wedding with guests asking me where I got this dress and I proceeded to say, "I'm pregnant and its Maternity but you can find it at Hatch Maternity." See you at the next wedding and you might just find me rocking the below who knows what this mom to be will be feeling that day! Until then...

My tips: Memorial Day Packing!

May 22, 2014
In a post I did back in 2011 called Friday Memorial Day Finds you can see that three years ago I was clearly not pregnant and opted to pack mini-shorts, platforms, bandeau's and big belts for my getaway. I thought this picture below summed it up perfectly "That Was THEN, This Is NOW."

So Ladies who want to be comfy this Memorial Day Weekend here are My Tips on what to Pack:
*(applies to pregnant ladies and non-pregnant ladies too)*

1. Dresses are a must (both Maxi and Above the Knee)! They are perfect for packing just roll up like you would a towel and you can fit 5 in your suitcase without your husband noticing :)

2. Birkenstock's! Ok I said it. They were huge in the 90's and yes they are back and I am a proud lady rocking these again. They are comfy and there are so many different colors and options now (look at those floral ones. I'm on the waiting list to scoop them up). You can pair with a pair of denim jeans and a dress. You can definitely wear from Day-To-Night!

3. Pack Jewelry that you can wear with all your outfits. Statement rings, necklaces and earrings are always great to layer into your wardrobe. (worn above not pictured below necklace c/o Allie Pohl)

4. Lightweight Summer scarves pack easily and are perfect for the plane or car ride. They also look great slung on your tote bag.

5. Summer Hats and Sunnies is also an essential to pack. Protecting your young skin is crucial!

6. A statement tote! Use the tote as your carry-on bag whether travel on a plan or in a car. I love the tote options that give a little accent to your overall look.

7.  And of course you cannot leave home without a perfect Graphic Tee :)

I cannot believe I will be celebrating my eight year anniversary with DJ Blue Steel. Time flies by when you are working hard. Enjoy every minute. Remember to breathe and smell the Cherry Blossoms.

 HAPPY ALMOST MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!
Let me know what you all are packing?

May 13, 2014
Last week I attended the 2014 Clio Image Awards held at the Pierre Hotel here in NYC which recognizes the ground-breaking work and talent that push the boundaries of creativity within the world of Advertising, Marketing in Fashion, Beauty, Retail and Accessories. Sarah Jessica Parker was honored with the CLIO Image Award and Andy Cohen was the incredible funny host of the evening. My Tips: Maternity Dresses for Weddings

May 1, 2014

As you all know I have recently announced why I love pickles so much! This recent bun in the oven has made me more of a shopping queen then before and that is scary. I just can't seem to stop. So I wanted to give you some of my tips that I have found are important as you have a growing belly and shopping for Maternity Dresses for Weddings and Events.
My Tips:
1)Maternity Dresses are not cheap so I think it is important to buy a dress that is on the bigger side so you can wear it at your full term. Dress featured above by Hatch.

2)I have found I can also wear dresses that are just a size or a few sizes bigger that are not "maternity" from brands I love. Only problem with that is they might not last as long as my point #1. Thus I would  rent the dress instead from my friends at Rent the Runway.

3)When shopping think about if you could wear the dress when you are not pregnant. Then you have spent your money wisely.

4)You know I love to wear dresses multiple times so think about the dress as an investment piece. I am always going to events so I can wear this dress to a wedding but also to an evening work gala. Then you have found a winner!

Let me know what Maternity lines you are loving especially for dresses!?
