Today marks 36 weeks, ladies and gents! WOW!! 9 MONTHS!!
(That deserves CAPS, does it not?)
I think these pictures, captured by talented fashion photographer Spencer Kohn during a Fashion Week event, truly captures how DJ Blue Steel is feeling. Thank you, Spencer, for capturing this special moment.

Thanks to Ari of theGLITTERY I got to collaborate with her on these special Bow-Tie Nails.
I told Ari I was looking to do something with Bow-Ties and she sent me a picture on her nail of an idea she had and then from there I worked with her on the color scheme to match my jewels and my dress for this NYFW evening and voila the party nails were formed :) Below are all the steps that Ari did to achieve this look. Make sure to follow Ari for all her GLITTERY nail updates here @theGLITTERYblog.
DIPPED IN GOLD BOW-TIE NAIL ART TUTORIAL:
Step 1: after applying your base coat, paint 1 coat of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, Game of Chromes. Wait a few minutes before moving to step 2.
Step 2: paint a second coat of Game of Chromes, one finger at a time. It's important to do one finger at a time because the wet polish will act as the adhesive for your bow-tie- so it's best to work fast. While the paint is still wet, carefully place the hearts on your nail (the pointed bottom of the hearts should be facing each other). TIP: to easily pick up the hearts, dip a toothpick in a tiny bit of clear polish first.
Step 3: to really lock in your bow-tie, apply 2 coats of your Seche Vite Top Coat. It's suuuuper thick so will make those babies stick!
***If you want to do the party accent nail, skip step 3 on your ring fingers. Wait for your second coat of Game of Chromes to dry and then take a toothpick dipped in Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Blacky O. Dot in dots in rows of three on your nail. Wait about 10 minutes before sealing with your top coat.
Thank you Ari for rocking my nails. I love this shot of Ari who always wears a headpiece with a light on it to get the perfect nail!

On 9/11, I have found that the best way to cope with what happened 13 years ago today is to take part in the national Day of service. Two charities are particularly important to me. They are YSC and Bully Bust. Here's a couple of links of various things I've done for those two organizations over the years. http://www.stacyigel.com/search?q=ysc & http://www.stacyigel.com/search?q=bullybust
Rather than put up a what I wore post or something like that that would seem just a bit too trivial on a day like this, I ask you to please visit one or both of these websites. Take some time to see what they're all about and if either of them piques your interest, please donate some of your time or money to these worthy causes. Or to another cause of your choosing. Let's do everything in our power to make this world a better place.

To start a day seeing this genius Bill Cunningham truly was amazing!(photo shot on my Iphone)
Badgley Mischka Spring 2015
Congrats on your 25th Anniversary! Love that Naomi walked out with Marc and James commemorating working with them since the beginning. Those are such beautiful moments!
ohh and love that I shot this and spot Bill again (sort of like where's Waldo ;))
(photo shot on my Iphone)
My favorite looks from the show
-long skirt and dresses with beautiful color palettes ranging from white to sky blue to ombre esq
-crop trend still looks to be going strong. I look forward to rocking this look after baby comes :)
-overall vibe of this collection was light and flowy and fresh. Bravo!(photos via Style.com)
After the show Mike Coppola from Wire/Getty captured my look at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2015 lounge. You can see more photos here. This baby is getting a lot of action ;)
Was fun to have Sammi Hanratty join me at the show.
Her outfit has a similar feel to the styles I loved above.

Cynthia Rowley Spring 2015
Side note I covered Cynthia Rowley with Elsa Klensch in 1998. It was a show on a rooftop where Alan Cummings walked in the show before blogs & social media. I interviewed Cynthia back then and look forward to sitting down with her again in the future to talk about the past 16+ years. I also forgot that when Cynthia first opened her store in Chicago when I was in high school I was one of the first to go to the store and the news did a segment on me. Cynthia has always been an inspiration and this presentation was beautifully done. Bravo!
My favorite looks from the show
-I love the elegant look of these tie up shoes with the dresses. I need those shoes for next Spring!
-love the detailing of the dresses and tops
-I cannot wait to wear these pants. Love the stripe down the side always makes you look slender.
-Interesting I chose more of the darker pieces. I do love Black and Red. The rest of the collection had hints of pastel blue which I am also loving going forward.

It was fun to see Sammi again at this show and new friend Laura Gomez from Orange is the New Black. In the past week Laura and I have had a dinner, hosted an event and attended Cynthia's show together. As they say three's a charm :) More photos captured by Wire/Getty photographer Michael Stewart can be seen here.

Sunday Night I had back to back NYFW parties. Being 33 weeks pregnant I wanted to make sure I felt comfortable so I decided to rock my gold air-max Nikes to go along with my look. I had a blast and yes this pregnant lady stayed out way past her bedtime but its Fashion Week and I was feeling alive and so happy running into all my friends, hosting a party with incredible people for a good cause and celebrating the WIN of the OliviaPalermo.com blog at the Bloglovin awards!
Simple SkinCare presents Caravan Stylist Studio NYFW cocktail party was my first stop this past Sunday. Claudine of Caravan Stylist Studio and Simple Skincare put on a beautiful evening to celebrate Made in USA designers with Save the Garment Center and I was honored to be one of the hosts.
I told Claudine rubbing my belly was like rubbing a Buddha's belly it brings good luck ;)
I always love running into this talented rockstar Lily Lane. The height difference being that I am wearing my kicks is quite hilarious...thanks Lily for bending lower for me lol!
Upclose and personal so you can check out my hair and makeup and jewels and all that jazz ;)
