At 5am when your newborn wakes up and you have been working until 1am...would you call yourself one who says her glass or in this instance her mug is half full or half empty? I lean toward the positive side of things. I like to call it my positive gun. I always shoot my smile gun at my son and my husband. Being a new mother and balancing a career at the same time and upkeeping a blog to take you BTS is challenging but I wouldn't change it for anything. I am grateful for the challenge and I guess you can say I thrive on it. It makes me whole.
So remember your Mug is always Half Full!

Introducing our January ‘15 Muse of the Month and first Muse of 2015, Jamie!
I truly cannot believe I am introducing you all to our first 2015 Muse of the Month. Jamie recently reached out to me and I loved her vibe and style that I thought this must be our next Muse. She also recently posted this Crosley record player on her instagram that has been on my wishlist all winter. I have a stash of records back in Chicago and dying to bring them back to NYC (#2015goals). Jamie is someone to learn more about so check more out about Jamie below!
1. Name and Social Media Channels: Jamie Davelaar
My favorite charity to support is Susan G. Komen for the Cure. It is a charity dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer and supporting women who have been affected by the disease as well as their families. This charity is extremely important to me because my best friend’s mom, my grandma, and my aunt are all breast cancer survivors, and I want more girls to be as blessed as I am to still have those important women in their lives, as I still have them in mine.
3. Favorite Boy Meets Girl® item and why?
My favorite Boy Meets Girl(R) item is the "Everyday Until Whenever" french terry sweatshirt because it's SO comfortable and I love the saying. To me it says, I have a goal, I don't know when I'll reach it, but I'm going to keep working hard everyday until that day comes. Whenever it may be. Love!"
Who is your muse or the person who inspires you most? Could be anyone! If you would like to be considered for Boy Meets Girl®'s Muse of the Month see the rules here!

My Incredible 2014
2014 was an incredible busy year. My son Dylan Reid aka Dj Dylan Reid was born three weeks early on October 4th, 2014. Below is a quick recap of the year in review.

In January I took a 48 hour trip to Los Angeles for work where I stayed with my BFF Ike Barinholtz and met his beautiful child. While there I also attended good friend Rosario Dawson's movie premiere, Gimme Shelter.

In February I found out I was pregnant on Day 6 (February 11th) of NYFW at the Badgley Mischka show while covering it for the blog (clearly why I look so pale lol)! I also covered shows for OliviaPalermo.com the same week as seen here and took part in an incredible event to Save the Garment Center here in NYC with Caravan Stylist Studio and Century 21.

In April I was invited to a lovely power lunch with the EIC Bonnie Fuller of HollywoodLife.com.
In May (my Birthday month) I was invited to the CLIO Image Awards and rocked the red carpet revealing my baby bump in my special dress by good friends Rosario & Abrima and Jewels by BMGxRL.

In June my father turned 70! We celebrated life together in NYC!
In July I shared with you all some of my new favorite vintage store finds and of course a post on Johnny & Kate.
In August I was asked to be a speaker for Pandora's Women in Business Speaker Series. It was such honor and I am so excited to have Dylan Reid rock this onesie :))
In September I decided to not do my own NYFW show which was a hard decision after being part of NYFW for many September seasons. But, I wanted to take care of my body as baby Dylan was on his way and he did come early so I do believe my decision was a great call ;) Of course, I still was a busy bee...hosting a party, attending the Bloglovin Awards (OP.com won!) and covering other shows.
I would not change 2014! Each step was a beautiful step. I am looking forward to this new year and I believe it will sparkle and shine in different ways and excited to take you along with me on this journey Behind the Seams.
