Love this picture of me and Ali |
Happy Monday! Today, I am taking you Behind the Seams(TM) with my
good friend and the talented Stylist Ali Lang. As you can see from the pictures above Ali has incredible style (the vintage flair you know I love!) and we heart each other ... always hugs and smiles even when we are working on projects together. Ali and I met when she was the head of the the MTV wardrobe department and our mutual good friend Dana thought we would be great for each other and she was right :) When we met we just clicked. I am actually off to Ali's Bridal Tea Shower as I am writing this blog post. If you didn't get a chance to see Episode 8 of my show Behind the Seams(TM) check out this episode here where Ali and I style together Booming pop sensation Sabi at Caravan Stylist Studio with Photographer Sophie Elgort for my Boy Meets Girl(R) campaign shoot. From here you can understand our dynamic and why it is so great to work with someone who you just jive with.
So now make sure to read more about Ali in her Q&A below:
1)how would you style your favorite Boy
Meets Girl(R) item:

Entrepreneurship: The do's and don'ts of fashion interviews
April 23, 2012
Whether you're interviewing for a fashion job or internship, there is a certain etiquette that i think everyone should follow. See some of the DO's and DON'T's of fashion interviewing which I have learned and observed along the way!

Me here with my Dj team at NYFW who went thru grueling interviews with me lol! |
Do- Research the person and the company you're interviewing for and also the job description of the position you applied for! Have all materials ready- notepad, pen & hard copy of your resume!
Don't- have unnecessary materials out such as your phone.
Do- Dress with confidence! Wear something professional but add your own personal flare.

Do- Dress with confidence! Wear something professional but add your own personal flare.
Don't- Embellish your resume when talking about past experiences... Just be YOU.
Do- Ask questions! Make eye contact! Show that your interested and want to know more about the company.- including mission statements, charitable causes and other general info! Have one or two questions prepared for the end of the interview.
Don't- Ask personal questions about the interviewer. Only ask questions that are relevant to the available position and the company.
Let me know if you have any other questions!! Always happy to help :))

Midnight Inspirations: Coco Chanel Book
Coco's name was Gabrielle. She got her nickname Coco from a popular song she used to sing! The famous LOGO was inspired from the mosaic windows she would look at in the boarding house she grew up in for catholic girls. Isn't amazing how the creation of brand can form from what you see on the streets, walls even on the subway. I LOVE IT!
Is anyone else reading this book?
