Vintage Finds Vol.1
July 15, 2014
From time to time, I get interviewed. A couple of weeks ago I was walking the red carpet at the CLIO Image Awards and a reporter for Us Weekly and Architectural Digest asked me “What is your favorite vintage store and vintage piece?" I went blank! I’ve been asked some difficult questions and this was NOT one of them, but I literally couldn’t come up with anything. I felt like that Miss America pageant contestant. Pregnancy brain I guess…. Any who, I am an avid (some might say reckless) vintage collector and shopper so I feel the need to redeem myself. Therefore, I’m introducing Vintage Finds, which will be a section about my favorite vintage and consignment stores around the world and my favorite pieces that I found within them.
For our first installment, check out this killer Geoffrey Beene suit that I bought in a vintage store in New Orleans. The [second] photo is a skirt I bought for $1.99 (!) at one of my favorite vintages stores that no longer exists called Juju & Moxie that I frequented at least once a week in college (Wisconsin – go Badgers!). I don't think I have found a vintage store quite like this one ever since, but it’s not for lack of trying. I have made some amazing finds over the years so stay tuned for more Vintage Finds!

stupors of thought happen to us all! just shows that you are human!
