What’s In a Name?

August 8, 2011
Getting to name your clothing is one of the best parts of being a fashion designer. When it came time to naming our Summer 2011 collection, I turned to my team to help! While the CoCo Hoodie (which I named after one of my favorites Coco Chanel) has been a Boy Meets Girl Staple for a long time, we came up with new names for this season, such as the Zoe Tee. We decided on Zoe because we thought the name sounded “cool” and could represent a variety of different types of girls.

The graphic on the City of Lights tee, reminded us of the NYC skyline with all it’s lights. The different colors resemble New York’s culture, spontaneity, vibrance, and life.

Sounds easy, right!?

We are getting ready to introduce to you five NAMELESS new tee-shirts that were designed for our partnership with Campus Candy. Campus Candy has stores located at  Indiana University, Penn State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Texas- Austin, and University of Arizona, and they will be selling these shirts in addition to our e-commerce site www.boymeetsgirlusa.com. Since the shirt’s name is VERY important, we decided to let YOU choose the names. The pictures of the shirts are below:
